Picture this: On a beautiful late summer evening, eighty people gather out in the gardens of Hawkins Family Farm. They sit between heaven and earth at tables dressed in white tablecloths.  On their china plates they find food that was grown or raised not far from where they sit, exquisite dishes prepared by local chef Jennifer Disler.

What will it be this year? Perhaps slow-cooked beef rib roast, brick-oven roasted suckling pig, raw-milk cheese and mushrooms on brick-oven flatbread, rainbow carrots, sautéed fresh greens, late-season fresh red raspberry cobbler and much more. One thing is certain: nearly every ingredient will be fresh and locally-produced, tasting of the season, tasting of the place.

The diners sip a variety of local beers, a different one paired with each course, including dessert. They linger until sunset, enjoying the slow food experience of a five-course meal.
